Normalcy is a Christ’s Haven Core Value. That means when a displaced child lives at Christ’s Haven, we want to make sure they have typical childhood memories and experiences. What better way to let kids be kids and create special memories than during the holiday season.
Join along with your office, church, neighborhood, or family & friends to share some holiday cheer by blessing the youth living at Christ’s Haven. There are many ways to help:
As a privately funded nonprofit organization, your financial support makes the most impact on our mission year-round. Your financial gift helps fund our Residential Program (0-18 yrs), College & Career Readiness Program (18-24 yrs), our Food Pantry, and our Family Resource Center.
Our Food Pantry operates similar to an onsite grocery store for our houseparents caring for children in our Residential Program and the young adults in our College & Career Readiness Program. We collect perishable & non-perishable donations to have them available 24/7 in our neighborhood of homes.
You can help make a child’s wish or a houseparent’s wish come true by purchasing items off our individual house Amazon Wish Lists.
Our family model of care means houseparents care for all of the daily needs for 5-8 displaced youth living in their home.
Gift cards to local stores/restaurants/attractions help offset expenses and create childhood memories & experiences. Gift cards to Kroger, Amazon, Target, and Walmart are always needed. If you’d like to coordinate a Gift Card Drive, contact our Volunteer Manager, Summer Woods, summer@christshaven.org
Help fill our FRC Community Closet with toys. These will be given to families in need who are accessing services with Christ’s Haven’s Family Resource Center.
Donations can be dropped off at the Christ’s Haven Main Office, 4200 Keller Haslet Road, on Mondays-Thursdays from 8:00 am-4:00 pm or Fridays from 8:00 am-1:00 pm.
For more information contact our Volunteer Manager, Summer Woods, summer@christshaven.org.
Christ’s Haven for Children does not receive any state or federal funding, relying solely on the generosity of the community. We receive donations from individuals, churches, foundations, businesses, civic groups, and others.
