One of our core values is Normalcy, which means providing typical childhood memories and experiences for displaced youth & young adults living at Christ’s Haven. What better way to let kids be kids and create special memories than during the summer.
Join along with your office, church, neighborhood, or family & friends to bless the youth living at Christ’s Haven.
There are many ways to help:
Summer Rec Activities
Food Pantry Donations
Gift Card Drive
Amazon Wish Lists
You can help make fun summer memories for the youth ages 11-18 living at Christ’s Haven. Consider sponsoring a Summer Rec outing or host an event on-site:
Sports Camp
Inflatable Obstacle Course
Outdoor Water Day
Arts & Crafts
Music & Theater Camp
Provide Lunch
Our Food Pantry operates similar to an onsite grocery store for our house parents caring for children in our Residential Program and the young adults in our College & Career Readiness Program. We collect perishable & non-perishable donations to have available 24/7 in our neighborhood of homes.
With our family model, houseparents care for all of the daily needs for 6-8 displaced youth living in their home. Gift cards to local stores/restaurants help offset expenses and create childhood memories & experiences.
Gift cards are most needed from: Target, Kohls, Amazon, Walmart, and general Visa cards for restaurants.
You can help provide some of the items to make those fun summer memories by purchasing items off our Summer Rec Amazon Wish Lists.
Donations can be dropped off at the Christ’s Haven Main Office,
4200 Keller Haslet Road, on Mondays-Thursdays from 8:00am-4:00pm or Fridays from 8:00am-1:00pm.
For more information contact our Volunteer Manager, Summer Woods, summer@christshaven.org.
Christ’s Haven for Children does not receive any state or federal funding, relying solely on the generosity of the community. We receive donations from individuals, churches, foundations, businesses, civic groups, and others.
